Challenging Fabric Challenge: Due January 2026
Go through your stash and find some fabric yardage you've been passing over for years now. Maybe it's ugly, not to your taste anymore, printed off grain, or just weird. Put it in a bag and bring it to the February 13th meeting. Feel free to put your name/explanation in the bag, but it's not required. Whoever brings a bag, gets a bag. We'll open the bags and show what we received. Bring back your completed project to the January 2026 meeting...you have lots of time to mull it over! [If there is demand, we can have another swap a few meetings later for those late to the party....]

The April Challenge
Each year a committee is formed to create a challenge for the guild members. Specific rules and guidelines are given (sometimes accompanied by a specific fabric). Each member is then “challenged” to create a quilted piece which conforms to these guidelines. Projects such as these can help push you into areas of quilting you might not otherwise go.
Each member keeps their project secret until the April meeting. On that night, after the business meeting, members view the entries and vote on their favorites. It is always an enjoyable program. We also celebrate the Guild’s birthday at that meeting. Participation in the challenge is optional.

The April Birthday Challenge for 2025 is "The Four Seasons of Sewing.” See the guidelines here
